Fode Moussa Camara brings an appreciation of West Africa’s vibrant and beautiful musical arts to audiences of all ages during his performances.
Fode and his ensemble dive into a breathtaking explosion of high energy and visually spectacular drumming, singing and dance. The performers wear authentic, colorful costumes that accentuate their graceful and energetic movements. Performances are interactive, allowing the audience to participate in a hands-on celebration of ethnic traditions that have spanned generations. The music inspires the audience, no matter how young or old, to leap out of their seats and dance. The pulse of the music speaks to everyone, because it contains elements of life common to all people.
Fode also performs as a guest artist for ensembles throughout the world. He possesses mastery of the djembe, doundoun, sangban, kenkeni, gongoma and krin. Fode will customize his performance to suit your audience. Performances can include drumming with or without dancing.
